Dicor’s Silicone TPO Primer is an adhesion promoter intended to aid adhesion of the Dicor Silicone Roof Coating to new and aged TPO membranes. Dicor’s TPO primer is manufactured from a fast evaporating solvent carrier and adhesive resins. A blue pigment is added to act as a color-guard so the applicator can better gauge application rates.

In addition, the 2-part coating system:

  • Extends the life of your TPO roof membrane
  • Saves more than 25 percent in labor compared to competing products
  • Has a 1 quart to 225 square feet coverage rate
  • Dries quickly
  • Contains no harmful petroleum distillates, harsh abrasives or citric ingredients that can cause irreparable harm

Surface Preparation:

All surfaces must be cleaned and free from dirt, leaves, grease oil or other contaminates. Any rocks, branches, or other large objects should also be removed. Be sure all surfaces are completely dry before priming.

 

Weather Precautions:

Only apply product when the surface and ambient temperatures are between 35°F (1°C) and 100°F (37°C). Product should be stored between 50°F (10°C) and 80°F (26°C) for 24 hours prior to installation.

Application:

Stir until an even consistency is achieved. Do not thin the product. Apply using a brush or 1″ nap roller. Apply at an approximate coverage rate of 225 sq. ft. per quart. Application should be as thin as possible. Allow 1 – 2 hours to dry. Follow with two coats of Dicor Signature Extended Life Silicone Coating. Uncured product may be removed with methyl ester. Application equipment should be cleaned immediately after use with methyl ester.

NOTE: Entire project must be completed in one day; including primer application and 2 coats of silicone coating, each dry to the touch.
