Dicor’s Gunnable Butyl Sealant adheres to TPO, EPDM, PVC, glass, metals, aluminum, concrete, wood and some plastics stabilized to prevent deterioration and discoloration. This is for use on skylights, vents, windows, termination rails. The easy caulk gun applicator makes for a mess free, seamless application. The butyl sealant dries to a putty-like consistency and creates an airtight, strong seal that resists degradation.
The sealant comes in grey and is UV resistant.
Approximate coverage per tube in linear feet:
3/8” bead – 11 ft.
1/4” bead – 24 ft.
Coverage results dependent on bead size.
Surface Preparation: Prior to application, clean surface of all dirt, loose paint, rust, oil and grease. Allow surface to dry before applying sealant.
Directions for use: Once all areas have dried, cut nozzle to desired bead size and puncture inner seal. Using a standard caulking gun, apply bead at a 45 angle using constant pressure. Use at room temperature for ease of gunning. Tool or join surfaces for sealing before material skins. Support tooled or joined surfaces for 8 hours minimum. Use mineral spirits to remove excess material before skin forms.
