Signature Extended Life RV Roof Coating™ is an RTV (room-temperature vulcanizing) sealant. The sealant cures automatically via a condensation reaction with the humidity in the air. During the process, crosslinks are formed to bond the material both horizontally and vertically.
Application: Signature Extended Life RV Roof Coating™ must be preceded with DICOR CLEANER/ACTIVATOR (RP-CRP-Q) to ensure proper adhesion. All cleaner/activator must be completely removed from roof prior to applying acrylic coating. All surfaces must be clean and free of residue or loose particles, degraded substrate, grease, oil, dirt, or other contaminates. Surfaces shall be completely dry and frostfree before coating. Deteriorated or damaged substrates shall be repaired or replaced. Signature Extended Life RV Roof Coating™ shall be applied in a minimum of 2 coats at a rate of 1 gallon per 125 sq. ft per coat (i.e. 8′ X 30′ roof takes 4 gallons). Actual gallons required will depend on the type of surface and texture, method of application, and weather conditions at the time of application. All surfaces must be uniformly coated and free from voids, pinholes, or blisters. Apply between 32º-120ºF. Two hour cure time. Dries to touch in one hour, walkable in two. Let first layer dry to touch prior to starting second coat. Must be completed in one day. Do not apply if rain is expected within four hours of last coat.
Preparation: Thoroughly mix the contents for a minimum of 5 minutes prior to application. Signature Extended Life RV Roof Coating™ may be applied by medium nap roller or brush. Clean equipment with water and a universal cleaner.
